Story

As you can see from the title I am going to be running the London Marathon on 17th April 2011. I will be running for Get Kids Going! This is a wonderful charity that helps British disabled children and young people by providing them with personalised sports wheelchairs and lightweight manual wheelchairs so they are able to participate in all kinds of different sports (i.e marathons, rugby, athletics, tennis) and play out with their friends.

Now as we all know, me putting my athletic frame through the training and running the 26.2 miles is not going to be easy. It will be tough, painful and tiring and that is just the training!!!! I know that come race day and I cross the finish line I will be exhausted!! That’s nothing compared to what disabled children have to put up with everyday of their lives…..they can’t even walk, let alone run!  And yes – I will wear the sweat bands!!

Please help me to help them by sponsoring my efforts for Get Kids Going! by giving a kind donation. I have pledged to raise as much as I can for Get Kids Going! I can assure you they need every penny – please will you help me turn dreams into reality for disabled children and youngsters by giving a donation. It doesn’t matter how large or small – it will all be gratefully received.

If you wish too donate please feel free to visit my JustGiving page - http://www.justgiving.com/Scott-Murphy

Thank you for your time – it is much appreciated.
