Story
MS, what is MS? I hadn't heard or ever taken any notice before I was diagnosed this summer with the disease. Around Christmas 2020 I started getting spells of numbness down my left arm and leg several times a day for 4 weeks. This led to some scary thoughts and Google searches, was it a stroke, some sort of seizure. CT scans, heart monitors, MRIs and lumbar puncture (ouch!) Led to finding out I had inflammation on my brain and then finding out I had MS. Luckily we've caught this as early as possible and I've started disease modifying drugs to prevent/slow down its progression. I've had no real side effects to the drugs and not had further relapses (flare ups) since the initial numbness so fingers crossed it remains that way for a long time.
The aim of the 100 mile run is to raise funds and awareness for MS, I could do with the exercise aswell! Running 5-6km a day for the 30 days in November.
