Story
Hi, my name is Scott McDonald. The NYC Marathon is a race that I definitely wanted to compete in at some point in my life, so when I heard of an opportunity to run it this year my interest was peaked. When I learned more about the organization that my bib would be representing I couldn’t resist passing up the opportunity.
The Family and Children’s Association is dedicated to helping so many Long Island families in their greatest times of need, with many of these families members of my very own lifelong community in Nassau County. By committing to run on behalf of FCA I hope to raise funds that can make a positive impact on the lives of those that need it the most, and hope that my commitment to the FCA will inspire others to get involved with organizations that help their communities as well.

FCA is thrilled to have been selected as a charity partner for the 2023 TCS NYC Marathon! In one of the most iconic events worldwide, runners selected from across the country to represent FCA will unite in New York City to run 26.2 miles in support of more than 34,000 individuals served by FCA across Long Island. Funds our runners raise will help FCA continue its mission to protect and strengthen Long Island's most vulnerable children, families, seniors and communities. Click on our runner's webpages to support them individually, or click the green "Donate Now" button on the right. We look forward to seeing you at the finish line!
