Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Time to get off our arses and raise some money for St Richard’s Hospice! We (Scott and Luke) are going to take part in St Richard’s October "Marathon in a month" challenge - events across the month linked to 26.2 miles. We have pledged to do the following:

*26.2 miles swimming - a mile a day for 26 days

* 26.2 games of squash across the month

* 29.5 mile hike (on one day - 17th October) walking from Edgbaston (Warwickshire County Cricket Club) to New Road (Worcestershire County Cricket Club) in memory of ex-Worcestershire player David Humphries aka Luke's Father in law.

We are raising money for St Richard’s Hospice, Worcester. Not only do they provide an invaluable service to our community but they are also a cause close to both our hearts as organiser of Woo Fest (Luke) and a generous sponsor of Woo Fest - Scott (co-owner of the local Water Babies).

It’s an incredibly tough year for the hospice so we want to help by raising a few pennies to support St Richards in their phenomenal care of our loved ones when they need it most, with both Luke’s Dad (John Simons) and now in 2020 Father-in-law (David Humphries) both being cared for by the hospice during their last days.

It’s a great cause so if you can spare some pennies please do and and lets see how these 2… ahem… athletes get on!
