Story
I never had a bucket list as such but the London Marathon 🏃♂️has always been one of those events that I wanted to complete.
After numerous unsuccessful applications I am delighted to have secured a place this year’s race in April, proudly taking part on behalf of St John Ambulance
Running on behalf of St John's Ambulance needs to have a relevance and the motivation for me is to highlight that those who volunteer for this great charity are not confined to providing first aid courses and first aid cover at events but just as importantly these volunteers attend to people who need someone to just listen to them.
This came to the fore on a personal level recently when we devastatingly lost Tom, the team at St John's helped him briefly and I know he always admired those who willingly and selflessly gave their time to help others, just as he did in so many ways through his short life. I am running this year’s London Marathon in memory of my brother Tom, to the guy who had everything, built everything, knew everything and simply was everything, this is for you 💙.
Please donate whatever you can so to enable me to complete this marathon, our lives have changed unimaginably over the last few months but by achieving my fundraising target we can impact on others positively and for me personally it is to honour a truly remarkable young man who is so desperately missed.🙏
