Story
Hello, thanks for checking out my fundraising page! I'm really excited to be taking part in the Kiltwalk for the 3rd year in a row, and your support has honestly never been more needed.
The stress and isolation of the last year has had a devastating effect on the mental health and well-being of the people that Paws for Progress support in prisons and the community across Central Scotland, in addition to the pandemic sparking a crisis for dog welfare.
But Paws for Progress can help, and YOU can help by donating to support Paws for Progress through sponsoring my Kiltwalk! Your donation will be topped up by 50% thanks to the generosity of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation. The donations will be used by Paws for Progress to help fund our therapeutic and educational dog training and care programmes over the next year, with a particular focus on helping young people.
On the 24th - 25th April I will be putting on my Kilt and walking 15 miles in the beautiful countryside and hills around Edinburgh. This is no small feat for someone with creaky joints, so this will take preparation and training! I'll be accompanied for stretches of the walk by my 4 legged friends Phoebe 🐶 and Odie 🐴.
Every penny will make a difference, especially with the 50% top up. If you're able to donate anything then that would be amazing, but alternatively I would also be very grateful if you share this fundraising page on your social media channels, and follow Paws for Progress! https://www.facebook.com/PawsforProgress
Thank you so much for your support! I look forward to updating you on how we get on xx
