Story

Nairn Rotary and Nairn Citizens Advice have joined together to raise funds to help the digitally excluded in the area by taking part in Scotland's Kiltwalk supported by the Tom Hunter Foundation which adds 50% to all contributions. I have teamed up with Nairn Citizens Advice on this sponsored walk on 25th April. In my work as a volunteer with Nairn Citizens Advice, I have become increasingly aware of the impact on clients who do not have access to technology. Never more so than during the pandemic as increasingly, benefits have to be done on line, shopping has to be done online and instead of being able to speak to someone by phone, you are told to go online. Many elderly, those who cannot afford broadband and others who fear technology are affected. Any donation you can spare will mean the world to me and my chosen charity. Thank you!
