Before November 2016 I was fortunate enough to have never heard to DIPG ( Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma - a childhood, brainstem cancer). My perfect blue-eyed, blond haired 2 year old grandson, Logan, was roaring with dinosaurs, jumping in puddles and we had so many hopes and dreams for him. Instead, he developed a limp and, after many visits to the Dr/ hospital, an MRI confirmed a tumour, a biopsy confirmed it to be DIPG and, following palliative radiotherapy, we were sent hope to make memories. We made so many beautiful, wonderful memories with him and his baby brother before he died 11 months later. He is forever 3. His prognosis in 2016 was no different to that of Neil Armstrong's daughter, Karen, in 1962... No large UK charity funds DIPG research... only Abbie's Army... Founded by Abbie's parents... Another child lost to this devastating cancer... They deserved a cure which ONLY research can find... Perhaps it will in time to save YOUR child or grandchild. Every penny I raise will be topped up by 50% thanks to the generosity of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation. Any donation you can spare will mean the world to me and my chosen charity. Thank you!
