Children who have been playing barefoot in the dust and dirt of life in the back streets of Bangalore, enter into a new world when they are enrolled in a bright and cheerful Building Blocks Learning Centre at the age of just 3 years. 

From their first day, they are immersed in a total learning environment, with many educational toys and teaching aids.

They learn the basics of organised community life, discipline and hygiene when they sit down to their nutritious daily school meals.

They have excellent, qualified, dedicated staff who are focused on helping these children to break out of their impoverished background, and develop into valued members of society as citizens of modern India.

At the age of 6, they are already literate and numerate and can qualify for a place in a good Primary/Secondary school, - but they need funding.

This campaign is targeted to raise  scholarships and fund an after-school mentoring & coaching programme to ensure that children from Building Blocks do not fall behind the progress of children from more advantaged backgrounds.

It costs £360 to fund a child for a year, and any reclaimed Gift
Aid is added to our General Scholarship Fund.
