Story

I decided to run the Two Oceans when I realised we would be in Cape Town visiting family at the same time. Before my knees (and other vital areas of my body) give up entirely I thought I would give this 35 mile run a go and it seems the next obvious challenge after a marathon.

A great motivation that will spur me on when the pain and tiredness kick in, is that I am surrounded by beautiful  family and friends . My children are the most important and precious aspect of my life and I cannot imagine life without them. To outlive your child must be the cruellest thing imaginable and therefore the plight of my old friend and colleague, Andy Hall and his family, has very much hit a nerve. Please take the time to look at the charity they have set up for their son, Skye, who tragically died last August. http://www.blueskyethinking.org/

I dedicate this run to Andy and his family, and all those who are in a similar position.
