I joined Legal Aid in 2006 and can speak firsthand to the tangible impact our work has on the lives of the families who come to us for help. I can recall earlier in my career at Legal Aid doing foreclosure defense cases and witnessing the first hand the joy and relief my clients felt knowing that we had saved their homes. 

Now as the Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) at Legal Aid, the first CINO in a legal aid program nationwide, launching the first Innovation Lab, also the first of its kind nationwide, I am proud to say we have taken a bold step towards fulfilling our vision of being an innovative, creative, efficient legal services program. 

We believe there is an opportunity to increase access to justice by investing in modern, innovative approaches and technology solutions that improve legal services for people in need. And, by launching the nation's first Innovation Lab in a legal aid program, we are declaring our commitment to identifying and implementing transformative solutions that improve the delivery of legal services statewide, increases staff efficiency, and combats inequities in underserved rural communities.
