Birthday Fundraising for a Cause · 1 December 2020 to 31 December 2030 · Start fundraising for this event

Fundraising for your birthday in lieu of gifts is a great way to help The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) raise funds and awareness for individuals affected by eating disorders.

Story

Friends and family,

As some of you know, my family has been suffering the effects of having a loved one with an eating disorder. I've created this page because it seems like a good way to help. I want to raise awareness and help others going through the same thing.

Eating disorders are one of the deadliest mental illnesses but one of the least talked about. And particularly during the pandemic, many teens have begun to struggle. Donating is just one step towards helping the many people who are hurt by eating disorders.

For my 16th birthday I am asking that you help if you can, even with small amounts. It may not seem like it but even a little bit counts. You can use the donate button on this page. The more people that know about National Eating Disorders Association, the greater their impact.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

-Scarlett
