Story
It seemed a good idea whilst in the pub.. It'll be twice as easy as doing the full marathon I thought to myself..
OK, Just 0.89p from each of my Facebook friends would see me reach my target. Easy!
A great charity for obvious reasons & I'm sure you all know of the great work that they do.
In addition to this, within our own daily work, myself & my team produce complex ophthalmic prescriptions for small children who have the inability to physically visualise their own world around them.
Ophthalmology is the area of medicine and surgery concerned with the eye and its relationship with the brain
The Ophthalmology department at Great Ormond Street Hospital was the first in the country to establish paediatric ophthalmology as a subspecialty, recognising that disorders affecting children’s eyes are frequently very different to those affecting adults.
They provide a tertiary care service for complex eye disease in children and have strong clinical and research links with their University College London Partners (UCLP) at the Institute of Child Health, Moorfields Eye Hospital, the Institute of Ophthalmology, the Royal Free Hospital, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Last year the Ophthalmology department saw over 20,000 outpatients and performed more than 400 surgeries as both day case and inpatients.
Every day brings new challenges at Great OrmondStreet Hospital (GOSH).Every day, 618 children and young peoplefrom across the UK arrive. Every day, doctors andnurses battle the most complex illnesses, andthe brightest minds come together to achievepioneering medical breakthroughs. And every day is a chance for you to make adifference. This extraordinary hospital has alwaysdepended on charitable support to give seriouslyill children the best chance to fulfil their potential.A better future for seriously ill children starts here.
Please donate if you can as i won't be doing anything like this again.
