I'm the treasurer of the Preston Branch of Save the Children and given the present emergency  we decided to hold our first virtual coffee morning! 

All monies raised will be added to the Emergency Coronavirus Appeal recently launched by Save the Children worldwide.

Right now Save the Children is working with the World Health Organisation and other partners on preparedness activities across many of their country offices. Teams are also doing everything they can to keep children and staff safe and healthy in their programs. 

In the updates I will try to illustrate examples of the dire situation in countries where Save the Children works illustrating how they desperately need even more funds now to help combat covid-19.

On the day we ask that you donate the amount you would usually spend on your cup of coffee and cake. We are very grateful of course for any amount you feel you can give.
