We train and support farmers to help communities and ecosystems thrive

Story

Thank you for coming to the PBBI team’s JustGiving page. With your support we’re going to Run, Row and Ride between now and 10 October as we take part in Standard Bank Plc’s Triathlon.

All funds raised will go to our charity partner, The Haller Foundation, and help make a world of difference to children and their families living in Kenya.  Here are some of the ways the money will be spent:

-       (£6,000) A year’s supply of medicine for 23 communities will treat 95% of diseases the health care team treat.

-       (£6,000) A doctor and nurse for a year will help save lives by treating preventable illnesses. The funds will deliver vital healthcare - vaccinations, consultations, medicine, disease prevention, family planning, pre-natal/antenatal care.

-       (£1,500) Malaria nets for 500 families

 -       (£5,000) Mobile Library Service to 6 schools providing books to children who may otherwise need to walk several hours to reach them.

-       (£2,500) Porridge Breakfast at 3 community schools for six months, for many children this will be their only substantial meal of the day.

-       (£3,500) 12 Months farmer training for the Standard Bank supported community, Kamubononi Farmers Group

-         And so much more... Please give generously.

If you are a UK tax payer, please consider making your donation eligible for Gift Aid and your donation will go further.

Thank you.

Haller works with nature to regenerate ecosystems and build thriving communities. In Kenya we equip subsistence farmers living on dry, eroded land with the knowledge to harvest water, rehabilitate the soil and farm sustainably so they can become self-sufficient and generate a livelihood.
