السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الله ( Peace be upon you)

Insha'Allah I have made the intention to raise funds to support the Kenya project, and if Allah wills i will travel there in March/ April 2022 with Muslim Charity to support the construction of a safe-water project in rural part of Kenya.

The project will seek to dig a borehole to the earths surface to reach the supply of water that will then be able to pump water in to a tank which will hold up to 100,000 litres, sufficient for a whole village. the project is estimated to cost around £15,000. 

The community walk approximately 1.5km then down a dangerous mountain pass to the nearest water source, which is not only highly contaminated, but also infested with crocodiles and hippos.

I have personally chosen to be a part of this project as access to a clean and constant supply of clean water is essential for life. Not only does it keep the human body alive and functioning, but regular hygiene staves off diseases whilst regular access to water helps crops to grow and allows farmers to grow livestock.
