The Great Skipton Santa Fun Run · 24 November 2019

Aphasia is always due to injury to the brain, and most commonly from a stroke. The difficulties of people with aphasia can range from occasional trouble finding words to losing the ability to speak, read, or write. Aphasia affects a person's language, but it doesn't affect a person's intelligence.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My husband Mark and friends who have aphasia (communication disability) after a stroke and lots of supportive brill friends are doing the Great Skipton Santa Fun Run 2019  www.skiptonsantafunrun.com   to raise awareness of aphasia and to raise funds for the Say Aphasia  charity and for the monthly drop-in group in Skipton, North Yorkshire.  The charity aims to improve the lives of people with aphasia, helping them to re-engage with life, develop communication, and rebuild confidence to reduce isolation.   www.sayaphasia.org
