Lord of the Rings Virtual Walking Challenges (Conqueror Challenges) · 1 January 2023

We raise funds for local NHS services to make a positive difference

Story

In 2021, my son was born and immediately admitted to SCBU (Special Care Baby Unit) in order to help fight of a serious, life threatening infection.
The care and attention that he had was nothing but exceptional.

In order to say thank you to the Hospital, in 2022, I was able to raise funds for a RockinR Game Cart to help tackle loneliness, boredom and anxiety.

Now, in 2023, I am aiming to raise enough funds to help the Cilgerran Children's ward at Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthenshire to purchase a Rhino Sensory Cart.

The Rhino Sensory Cart is a uniquely portable kaleidoscope of colour, sound and touch. This equipment is designed to be portable, practical and a perfect space saving sensory aid.
It can be wheeled through wards, lighting up every environment in a wonderfully warm sensory glow.

In order to raise funds for this cause, I am undertaking a Virtual Walking Challenge, effectively walking from the Shire to Mordor.

The challenge will be made up of 5 stages:

- The Shire                  (145 Miles)
- The Fellowship        (98 Miles)
- Mines of Moria        (40 miles)
- The Eye of Sauron  (95 Miles)
- Mordor                      (282 Miles)

In total, I aim to cover 660 Miles on foot so this will also prove to be a fitness challenge for me along the way too.

Thank you for taking the time to read this story and I hope you can support this cause as I take on this challenge.

Thank you all!
