Story
The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) was set up to help combat male suicide, which is the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. 125 people taking their life each week is too much.
Lockdown has caused vulnerable people to struggle even more with mental health. Organisations like CALM need more funding than ever before to respond to calls and promote wellbeing.
As a male under the age of 45, I'm fortunate to have not had any of my friends take their own life. However, since I last did this fundraiser in 2018, two friends have come close. Many more could have suffered in silence.
With a little help from some friends, we're putting in every hour of spare time into producing a industry standard preview of the delayed Euro 2020 football championships.
Football has literally been a life saver to a lot of folk locked at home with not much else for distraction. This Euro preview is for everyone, but especially those who have relied on football as their source of pleasure during a miserable pandemic.
We're on track to hit 300 hours of work in planning, researching, writing and publishing the magazine. We aren't takin a single penny for it. Instead we want every £ to go straight to CALM via this justgiving page.
We appreciate any donation you make, big or small. But preferably big ;) Once you have donated, drop an email to helpsavethepunter@gmail.com, with proof of donation, and we will reply with the magazine, which should go to digital press on 1st June.
The magazine features all 24 countries previewed with plenty of advice on which teams can do well. We can't wait for you to see it.
Cheers,
Parris & the team
All money donated here goes directly to CALM and not to us in anyway.
