Story
Introducing Holly the Horse who has a lovely story to tell.
A couple of months ago a very kind hearted young girl named Anna walked into the charity office clutching a 1m long soft toy horse.
Her explanation?: 'This is my biggest and best... toy and I want to give it to you to say thank you'.
Anna's Auntie was cared for by the amazing team at Sobell House and Anna wanted to say thank you by giving us something that means alot to her, in the hopes that it would raise the money needed to ensure that others would be looked after with as much love and support as her Auntie recieved.
Although she was not able to give money, Anna gave something very special, a true display of graditude and kindness as well as our much loved Holly the Horse! Anna gave the best thing she could think of with hopes that somebody would want to donate money to get to be Holly's new owner.
The plan was that we would auction Holly to the highest bidder but then something even better happened. A previous employee of the hospice, Daniel, suggested something even better. In his own words:
"I worked for this hospice for a while, and it is a really great charity. Would anyone consider chipping in for this horse? I was thinking it would be a nice gesture to return it to the kid who donated it. I'll chip in the first £100 - who's with me? Come on guys - it's Christmas!"
This page is for anyone who wants to help Dan's plan and raise as much money for Sobell House whilst giving Anna back her favourite toy. How's that for a Christmas story of good cheer?
We really hope that Holly gets her happy ending.
