Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My father Sav, passed away on the 5th April 2023 from Sepsis. To me and my family he was a role model, to others nothing but a gentleman. Wise and friendly, warm and accommodating, very few men like this still exist in the world today and his passing was a shock which none of his immediate, or extended family can quite understand or conceive.

Sepsis is a illness that can genuinely affect any one of us. It doesn't discriminate and will appear out of nowhere and will take the most cherished and loved ones away from us at a moments notice. So I am asking (and I appreciate the climate we are in), for any donations possible, regardless of what it is towards the UK Sepsis Trust and their tireless efforts to help in those of us who have lived through such a loss or have been lucky to survive such a horrible life threatening illness.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
