Story
I’m taking part this Sunday 2nd of April in the @LondonLandmarksHalf, running 21.1 kilometres (13.1 miles) to help refugees rebuild their lives here in the UK. I'm reaching out to you on behalf of @RefugeeAction.
Imagine being forced to flee your home, leaving behind everything you know and love, and embarking on a perilous journey to find safety.
As we sit in the comfort of our homes, it can be easy to forget about the struggles faced by those who have been forced to leave their homes due to conflict, persecution, or natural disasters. But the truth is, their suffering is real and ongoing.
@RefugeeAction is a charity that works tirelessly to provide vital support and care to refugees. Their work is crucial in ensuring that those who have been forced to flee their homes have access to food, shelter, medical care, and education.
They can't do it alone and need our help to continue providing these vital services to refugees who have nowhere else to turn. Your donation, no matter how big or small, can make a real difference in the lives of those who are struggling to survive.
Here are a few examples of how your fundraising could change lives.
* £10 - could provide toys or craft supplies for children to enjoy while their parents receive advice from @RefugeeAction caseworkers.
* £25 - could provide unlimited data, texts and phone calls for a family for a month, meaning they can keep connected with loved ones back home.
* £50 - could provide a refugee family with their first weekly shop when they arrive in the UK to rebuild their lives.
* £100 - could fund six sessions with a support caseworker, offering people vital well-being support as they navigate the harsh realities of the asylum process.
There are millions of refugees around the world who have lost everything they have ever known and loved, families, communities and homes. They are seeking a new hope whilst feeling scared, alone, and unsure of what the future holds, starting from scratch, without knowing where their next meal will come from or where they will lay their head at night.

I would love it if you could donate to this cause. Consider it your good deed for the month! There is not a 'too little/small' donation. Your donation will help provide hope, comfort, and a lifeline to those who have been forced to endure unimaginable hardship.
