Bupa Great Manchester Run 2014 · 18 May 2014 ·
Louise, Rob, Tom and Jen are running the Manchester 10k in May to raise money for prostate cancer. We have chosen this charity as our family has been affected by prostate cancer.
Each year about 40,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer, making it the most common cancer in men. Three out of four men diagnosed are aged 65 and over.
Prostate cancer can spread to other parts of your body (through your blood or your lymphatic system) where cancer cells may grow and form secondary tumours.
Research into new treatments is ongoing but takes time and money. Every donation will help someone in the future suffering with this type of cancer and could save a life.
So help us raise awareness and raise some cash for a great cause. Your support will certainly help Louise and Jen get through the torture of having to run through the streets of Manchester!
