Tara was recognised as one in a million. She was our little twinkling star, in her five years she endured countless tests, treatments and long-stays in hospitals.

Through her time she demonstrated inspiring courage, strength and unique fighting spirit.  Tara defied all medical professionals and continuously proved them wrong, after all, there is no such thing as a ‘text book’ child.

A child that never spoke words, Tara managed to teach those around her to live in the moment, embrace happiness and never to take time for granted.  Why wait for tomorrow when you can do it today?  She was loved and adored by everyone that came into contact with her.  Her eyelashes were an envy to many, she had a serene aura and a cheeky smile.

Tara has sadly left us, leaving a painful hole in our hearts.  Shooting Stars Chase is a hospice for children with rare and life-limiting conditions and offers invaluable support to families and help see them through their heart-breaking journey.  We were able to spend time with our beautiful Tara and watched her sleep peacefully.
