Story

Welcome to my 2008 fundraising page! Well, after completing the New York Marathon in 2007 it’s fair to say that this year I’m taking the challenge to a whole new level with 3 marathons in 3 different countries a triathlon and a run up and down a mountain! Surely that is worth a few of your finest English pounds?!

Details of my runs are as follows:

London Marathon – Sunday April 13th  **COMPLETED IN 3hrs 57mins 11sec**

Prague Marathon – Sunday May 11th **COMPLETED IN 4hrs 06mins 11sec**

Tatton Park Triathlon – Sunday June 8th **COMPLETED**

Mount Snowdon International Race – July TBC

Berlin Marathon – Sunday September 28th

I’m running to support Breast Cancer Care who have provided a huge amount of support and advice to my mum over the past 18 months. There are over 42,000 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed every year in the UK.  We want to reach as many of these people as possible to help them get the care and support they need.

Every penny really does count and your gift will make an enormous difference to many people like my mum who are affected by breast cancer:

·       £5 allows 1 person to access the online chat forum and share experiences with other people affected by breast cancer at any time of the day or night

·       £15 would enable us to send out breast cancer factsheets and booklets to 30 people in urgent need of information

·       £35 covers the cost of a call to our free confidential helpline, offering crucial one-to-one support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer

·       £65 covers the hourly cost of “ask the nurse” email service which is a vital resource for those who find it difficult to talk about their feelings

·       £95 connects someone facing breast cancer with a local volunteer who will give that person the opportunity to talk through their experiences of breast cancer face-to-face

·       £400 will fully train a volunteer to provide emotional support and information to people with breast cancer

Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page and for your continuing support and donations. For more information on all of the runs please email me or join my marathon, triathlon & mountain challenge group on Facebook.
