Story
It’s been two LONG years...but the sequins, the glitter, the smell of fake tan looming through the halls... first aid kit on stand by... the haze of hairspray and fear filling the ballroom... yes it can only mean one thing...
Strictly IS BACK for 2022 baby!
I have the pleasure of dancing with a brand new shiny dance partner.. he’s not brand new to Strictly though, he actually nabbed the best dance award last time round.. so i’ve stole him for this year 😋 good strategy right? Anyway, my new dance partner this time round is Declan McAlinden! 🕺🏽 We will be taking to the floor to compete for that all important strictly glitter ball, dancing the quickstep to Jet’s ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl?’ 🤘🏼I’m excited.. finally this rock and roll addict gets to dance to a rock song!
This one’s gonna be a good’un.. it’s everyone who has competed before and won before, so the standard will be highhh! But as much fun, sweat, bumps (and kicks to the head) that it involves, we are of course doing it to raise money and awareness for a very special and important, local charity called Cause NI. Probably more important than ever actually, as we all know the pandemic has really messed with us, and everyone needs to take care of their mental health and the ones who look after those with mental health issues need to take care of theirs too. Enter CAUSE NI ♥️
CAUSE is a small local charity who support the carers and families of those with mental health issues. One in three of us will suffer from mental health problems at some point in our lives and it is vital that we support not only those who are unwell but also their support system around them. Unfortunately, we live in a world where we are so accepting of any body part breaking down, other than our brains. That is the stigma and it is that which CAUSE aims to stamp out. Therefore any donation you can make, big or small, will be greatly appreciated. More information on the charity can be found on their website: www.cause.org.uk
Rehearsals are under way and it’s going to be an amazing night, even with a brand new venue at the famous Europa Hotel on the 12th March ⭐️ Ticket prices TBC but if you would like to come and support us please just message either Decky or myself, and please donate if you can.
Any donation big or small will make the world of a difference, and will mean so much to us. So thank you for coming and looking at our page and we’ll...
‘Keeeeep Daaannccciinnggg!’
