I feel privileged to work at King's Gate Primary School - a very special place to work with an amazing team. 

We are all incredibly proud of our children, many who joined the school with the hope of finding a special place of education. We are equally proud of our school community who have shown unfaltering support for the school since we opened our doors in 2019 despite the trials and tribulations of COVID.

Cancer is a disease that strikes unpredictably and without warning. In May, one of our King's Gate parents was taken unexpectedly to this terrible disease and now, in September,  another King's Gate mum has been diagnosed with Cancer.

One in two of us will get Cancer in our lifetime. Everyone knows someone who has been affected - I am no exception. For the last two years,  my mum's partner Len has been battling Cancer with intense radio and chemotherapy, next week he has an MRI to check whether it has spread into his spine. Every time he thinks he is clear, it comes back. He is incredibly brave and battles on...

Many of the King's Gate parents and staff have joined together to take part in the Bournemouth 10k, The Great South or both in October in memory of Sophie and to raise as much as we can together to support research into beating Cancer.
