We are running the Great North Run 2023 in aid of Dementia UK - the specialist dementia nurse charity. Dementia UK's nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. This is a charity close to our hearts and every donation goes towards preventing people from having to face dementia alone. 

• £5 could cover the telephone costs of two people calling the free Dementia Helpline, whenever they need support 
• £33 could pay for a new Admiral Nurse to support a family for one hour, with the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems
• £125 could pay for an Admiral Nurse to answer calls for one evening on the Dementia Helpline, when other sources of support have closed for the night
