Story

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, many families have been thrown into poverty and pain, losing the main breadwinner in their families, losing their jobs or being stuck in abusive households unable to leave because they have no income of their own.

My intention behind fundraising for this campaign is try help the families in the long term, help them get back on their feet after losing loved ones or escaping abuse. The goal is to give them the gift of livelihood, providing them with sewing machines and all the training they will need to start earning money for themselves and their children.

I’ve always believed it is so important for a woman to be independent and to not rely on anyone. With this campaign we can change these vulnerable families lives FOREVER. One sewing machine costs £80 with all the training they will need. This will give a woman a job, empower her to provide for her family, helping her to eventually stop needing to rely on our donations and food packages (Insha’Allah), as well helping to develop a skill and giving them a chance to secure a future for their children and set an example.

I've set the goal as £400 for now (5 sewing machines) as I know I already raising money for @syf_relief food pack distribution this Ramadan so many people might not be able to donate again but lets see if we can change the lives of 5 families for ever Insha'Allah! Remember that Allah PROMISES that any money given in Charity will never take away from your wealth and that Charity protects us from calamities!

@smile.aid Sakina Welfare Centre is dedicated to caring for widows, orphans and the other most needy. They will be helping in the distribution of these sewing machines as well as the training and information needed for women to start earning money for themselves and their children. Imagine having to RELY on donations or begging for basic necessities your whole life, then for just £80 all of a sudden being able to PROVIDE for yourself, and your family. Such an amazing cause. Please support in whatever way you can ❤️
