In May I will be going to Jordan to embark on a three day trek to help raise funds for Cure Leukaemia and Rays of Sunshine. The route will involve trekking 55km from the shores of the Dead Sea, through the desert and along mountain tracks towards the ancient city of Petra. I haven't done anything like this before but I'm looking forward to the challenge!

Cure Leukaemia helps blood cancer patients to access pioneering drug and transplant treatments by funding a network of specialist research nurses across the UK. Without these nurses clinical trials of these new treatments would not run and patients that have exhausted standard treatment options would miss out on potentially lifesaving therapies. Every penny raised for Cure Leukaemia helps save lives and also hastens global progress towards the eradication of all forms of blood cancer.

Rays of Sunshine grants wishes to children aged 3 to 18, living with serious or life limiting illnesses. They believe that every child deserves the chance to forget about their illness and to experience happiness. This charity's vision is to make children's wishes come true and turn them into happy memories. Examples include organising events and outings to theme parks/concerts or hospital ward visits by favourite sports, pop or film stars.

The trip is self funded which means that all the money raised will go to Cure Leukaemia and Rays of Sunshine. It would be wonderful if you could please sponsor me in this challenge and help raise funds for these two fantastic charities. Any contributions you can make would be gratefully appreciated.
