Dundee Kiltwalk 2024 · 11 August 2024 ·

Each week 5 babies are born with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and two young lives are lost. CF is a life-long, chronic condition and there is currently no cure. The Leanne Fund helps sufferers of CF and their families by providing a range of services to make life a little easier - making a difference today.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

I'm (Sarah) walking the Kiltwalk (20 miles) for a couple of reasons... to test my health/ fitness and see if I can complete a physical challenge like this and to give back to The Leanne Fund who have supported me throughout the years with my Cystic Fibrosis.

My health hasn't been great over the last few years (21% lung function March 2023) and it's only really due to starting Kaftrio last May that I've been able to turn things around and I feel ready to attempt something like this.

Personally I've benefited from The Leanne Fund by receiving a care package during my hospital stay, they've paid for weights for me to be able to do some exercise while at home during Covid and most recently they paid for a few months personal training for me after I started the Kaftrio and was able to join the gym.

Jack’s graciously agreed to do this with me and to raise money for The Leanne Fund as well. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. 😊 Also any advice on how to survive as well 😂
