I am fundraising for Rape Crisis England & Wales to stand in solidarity with victims and survivors of sexual violence and abuse. Rape and sexual abuse are devastating crimes but unfortunately are not at all uncommon. 20% of women have experienced some type of sexual assault since the age of 16*.By stepping out every day for 30 days. I wrote a book called The Shadows We Cast about the impact of rape on women. I wanted to make sure I helped those who have been impacted by supporting this brilliant charity. I'm aware that my steps are small, but I'll be going through radiotherapy at the time so will do what I can! The image will be something I see while I'm walking that day.
