Hello everyone, thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
As you can tell, I am planning to do a sky-dive to raise money for the charity "BallBoys" which specializes in raising money and awareness to help those who have Testicular Cancer and educate people on how to notice signs of Testicular Cancer. Testicular Cancer and other forms of male cancers are not widely talked about and they do lack funds compared to more common well-known more advertised charities such as Breast Cancer UK etc.
There is a more personal reason why I have decided to do this, not just about creating awareness and helping funds. Someone dear to me recently got awful news about her son. Shockingly her son is only a few years older then me, still in his prime and has everything to live for. Cancer does not just affect the middle-aged/older generation, it affects people of all ages. This lady has been amazing to me at my times of need (relatively small compared to her most recent situations) and I just feel I need to help somehow in someway. She's been lovely to me and she is a great lady. She puts everyone before herself, caring for those with special needs as well as caring for those in her personal life. I want to show my support to her in probably the most dramatic way I have ever done in my life - Especially when I have a fear of heights and have only been in a plane once!
I want to raise funds that can help towards a cure in the future and towards the here and now, funds that could actually be used for his medications/ operations etc. I just really want to raise the funds and show my support.
Don't get me wrong I am absolutely terrified about jumping from a plane but I do think this would be one of the best experiences I have ever done and will be going for an amazing cause!
I would be so grateful if anyone could donate money and hopefully spend some time spread the word about my fundraising.
My goal is to raise £750 minimum. £225 will cover the cost of the charity sky-dive, the extra £525 is my minimum I wish to raise but any money is better than no money at all. Remember this is for a great cause and it affects more people then you realize. This money will be helping those diagnosed with the illness and to protect & help you and your loved ones in the future. The more money raised the more they can do with the money!
I plan to skydive with the bristol company " goskydive". Date is yet to be confirmed (Most likely to be in the Summer June/July).
Thank you for any help in my fundraising project.
