Story
Aerobility, formerly the British Disabled Flying Association, is a registered charity that believes everyone should have the right and opportunity to actively participate in aviation. We strive to remove the barriers that prevent individuals with disabilities from flying so that everyone is able to benefit from the life-changing experience. The name, Aerobility, encompasses who we are as a charity by combining our core-attributes: Aerospace and Ability. We focus on removing the barriers that our beneficiaries face on a daily basis to instil a sense of accomplishment and pride.
Through my day job (working in Commercial Pilot Training) and my other job, running a CCF RAF section - where our cadets get opportunities to fly in a Grob Tutor, I've seen how fabulous it is to share the opportunity to fly, and to realise a dream. But, not everyone can access flying. Aerobility are working to remove the barriers and I think that's just fabulous!
