DofE offered me so many opportunities, not least getting me into Scouting which has continued to offer me the most amazing experiences. 

As a Cub Leader I try to encourage my Cubs to push themselves to do things they never thought possible, just like the DofE awards did for me. Who knows maybe they will complete theirs in the years to come. 

We have challenged ourselves to an endurance goecaching challenge. Over the August Bank Holiday weekend we are heading out into the Peak District to find as many Geocaches as possible. We have 4 possible routes planned with a total of 250 possible finds.  (Geocaching is a hi-tech treasure hunt, searching for tiny boxes & canisters using satelites - check out this website for more information: https://www.geocaching.com/guide )
