I am raising money for the Pilgrims Hospice to say THANK YOU for looking after my Father for 6 nights in early January 2014. The Pilgrims Hospice relies heavily on donations and the true cost of one nights stay is £480, so its alot of money!!

My Father is safely tucked up at home now following a bout of pneumonia and he is permanently connected to an oxygen machine; which I must say has provided several comedy moments as he manages to get the 5m long tube tangled in all sorts of things (particularly funny when he mistakenly weaves it in & out of his shirt buttons when getting dressed). However in addition to the pneumonia he has an under-lying condition called ‘pulmonary fibrosis’ which limits the lungs ability to absorb oxygen. 

So I’d like to say a big thank you to the Pilgrims Hospice for putting up with Wing Commander Ian Philpott, a man who is always standing to attention (when he can) and saying “nothing wrong with me!” His determination inspires me and I love him dearly.
