Story
On 4 July 2026, I’ll be taking on the Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike — a full marathon trek along one of the most stunning (and hilly!) coastlines in the UK — to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
I’ve signed up for this epic challenge with three of my closest friends, for a cause that means so much to me. My friend’s mum has bravely overcome her cancer treatment battle, and my own mum fought hers just a few years ago. I’ve also lost several close family members to this awful disease, including my amazing auntie Janet. This hike is for them, and for everyone affected by cancer.
I’m not an experienced hiker, and I’ve never walked anywhere near this far — and the Jurassic Coast is not short on hills! This will be a huge personal challenge, but I’m determined to do it. I’d be so grateful for your support.
Thanks to the generosity of friends and family, I’ve already reached my first £500 fundraising goal. Every additional donation will make such a difference — helping Macmillan provide essential medical, practical, and emotional support for people living with cancer and their families.
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. Macmillan’s goal is to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can’t do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support — it truly means the world!
