Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So my friend Zoe decided that she wanted to run a marathon before she turned 30 and I, for some now unfathomable reason, agreed to do it with her if the 26.2-mile run/jog/walk/crawl (how I see my attempt unfolding) took place in New York City. We started training in January – having never been a 'runner' an early start was a must – and hopefully come Sunday 7 November we'll have it in our legs to make it across the finish line before they reopen the roads!
I'm raising money for the MS Society, a charity close to my heart because my mum has multiple sclerosis and it is a disease for which there is no known cure – yet. I'm hoping that by running this marathon I can help raise money for more research into the disease and to help support those suffering from the disease.
So please agree to sponsor me – as little or as much as you can, although obviously the more the better! Not only am I going to put myself through 26.2 miles of agony (probably longer as I'm unlikely to be able to walk properly for days!) but I've even uploaded embarrassing photos of myself to keep you entertained – surely that's worth a few quid.
