THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY PAGE!!
As lots of you know, I was diagnosed with MS four years ago. It's been a bumpy journey and I suspect it always will be (where's the fun in an easy life?!) but it wouldn't have been as easy without all the support from family, friends and colleagues... so a big THANK YOU to you all :)
After completing the London Marathon last year (and milking it for all it was worth - even getting a short film made about it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRXu8fCUR7s) I vowed that I would never run a marathon again.... I don't even like running!!
However, in order to regain my fitness (and lose those extra pounds that had snuck on) after letting it slide for 6 months, I headed back to the gym. Needing a goal to aim for, I nervously signed up for the BUPA 10K in May earlier this year, thinking 10K is a nice distance, effort required but not life-changing amounts of training.....
I managed that, somewhat slowly, but most importantly injury-free and that evening, basking in my seratonin and champagne fuelled glow, I signed up for this Half Marathon!!!!!
Somewhat regretting that decision now, but..... here I am!!
Please help me get around the course by sponsoring me as little or as much as you can..... It really does help
An extra special note of thanks must go to Stephen, my running buddy, without his encouragement and frequent attendance at the gym, I wouldn't be doing this [He's also running for the MS Society - but sponsor me first!]
