Sarah's Oxford Brookes - Asia Experience page

Oxford Brookes - Asia Experience · 18 July 2014 to 13 September 2014 ·
I am currently in the final year of my Operating Department Practice (ODP) training with Oxford Brookes University and although I am about to embark upon a career that will enable me to care and support patients through an extremely anxious time in their lives on a daily basis...I will not get an opportunity to make a difference like this ever again!
The money I raise will go towards a community project such as building a libary for the school children, providing learning resources to the school and building a football pitch for the local community. During the 3 weeks, as a volunteer, I will be supporting the local families, teaching the children and working with the community closely...I will be documenting every memory along the way!
Last year, the Future Sense Foundation helped 1400 children and in Battambang (Cambodia) the volunteers built the local school a computer lab, taught the children English, Dance and brought energy, skills and compassion a community with a real need.
I would appreciate any donations towards this cause whole heartily and in return I promise to pass on the memories, skills and experience I gain on this project to my 2 beautiful children so they can learn and inherit the same values and caring nature that I have.
I have contributed £250 so far and need to raise a further £2250.00 to make a real difference which, is a dream come true!
