Sarah's Skydive for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Way back in 2016 my lovely brother Andrew told me about a Sponsored Skydive Muscular Dystrophy wanted people to take part in. I have skydived before and loved every second so I signed myself up straight away without thinking twice.
My Brother Andrew is a sufferer of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy himself. He is honestly the most strongest, bravest and most humble man in the World. He's my inspiration for everything really. Everything I do is to make him proud. To make him if I can, as proud as he has made me through everything he faces and everything he has achieved.
I always say to people spend 5 minutes with him and he will change your life. And he will. For many people he did. There just isn't the words worthy enough to say how inspirational and just how he was such a brilliant example of how to live a life.
On the 5th January I got the worst news. It was the day I never ever, ever wanted to face. Andrew had been rushed into hospital. A horrible infection had taken over him so suddenly and before anyone could even do anything he was gone. He passed away so suddenly and so unexpectedly it was like our whole World was gone. He was 25 years old.
Our World will never be the same again.
I almost wasn't going to do the Skydive anymore because I wasn't sure I could, if I was strong enough. But it was Andrew who wanted me to and was so happy that I was doing it. We were all looking forward to it. So, how can I not do it. I'm doing it for him even more now. In His memory.
For those who don't know Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for 70,000 people living with muscle-wasting conditions. They are making a difference today, providing vital information and support to help people live as independently as possible. They are making a difference for tomorrow, accelerating progress in research and driving the campaign for access to emerging treatments. The loss of my brother is a reminder of how cruel Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is and how it takes lads far too early. The fight must go on to stop this from happening!
