I am running the London Marathon in April 2023 as it will be 10 years since the transplant of ‘Sidney the Kidney’. Our friend Mark has polycystic kidneys and over 10 years ago his kidney function declined quite rapidly to the point where he was on the list for a kidney transplant. 

My mum decided that she would offer her kidney to her best friends husband, Mark and hasn’t looked back since. We want to make people aware of polycystic kidney disease and help to fund all of the amazing research they do. 

This will be my first marathon! I must be crazy but mum has showed me anything is possible when you put your mind to it!
