At the start of this year I never intended to run a half marathon however after a group of colleagues started training for Cwmbran Race for Life I decided to support them and train along side them, although I didn't partake in the race. Around the same time a colleague jokingly said we should run the half marathon. I was unsure if I could achieve this but signed up anyway.

As this is such a personal goal for me to try and achieve I thought that I would also raise money for a worth while cause in the process. Having had family members experience the loss of a son and knowing the support that was offered by SANDS I felt that this was the  charity that I would like to raise money for.  Any money raised will be in memory of this little one who would have been 3 this year.   

SANDS supports anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby before, during or shortly after birth.  They offer emotional support and information for parents, grandparents, siblings, children, families and friends, health professionals and others.
