The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

I am a 32 year-old woman, married and a mother of a beautiful daughter, Lillie. On the 22nd of September 2014, my life changed when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although from this point it felt as though we were in the middle of a strange and surreal dream, once I had absorbed the news I knew I was going to take control of this before it took control of me. I was determined to approach the future in a robust and positive way. This is why I made the decision whilst going through chemo to take the challenge of running the metric marathon just 6 months after finishing my treatment and 5 months after a double mastectomy covering a distance of 16.2 miles - the furthest I have ever run and then just 2 weeks later running hell runner -trail run - 13 miles which I ran last year just three weeks after my diagnosis. The reason I want to support and raise money for Macmillan is to say thank you for all their continuous support throughout my journey.
