Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Hurrah, the beetroot on legs completed the GöteborgsVarvet in a time of 2:17:09!  And, no, she didn't enjoy it!

Thank you to everyone who donated so generously both with their support and money - it certainly got me through the dark times (all 21k of them!)

On Saturday 16th May, I shall be running(!) the GöteborgsVarvet, which roughly translated is the Gothenburg Half Marathon and as luck would have it, the year I said "yeh, of course I could do that", it happens to fall on my birthday!  So in order to get to my birthday cake and celebrations, I have to get myself round 21 kilometres (or 13.1 miles for us oldies!) of Gothenburg - note to self: check calendar before agreeing to anything ever again!

So instead of the flowers, chocolates and drinks that I know you were going to buy me, I would be delighted if you would donate the money to Trinity Hospice.  This is a fabulous facility in south London which offers amazing care for those with advanced illness, and I am delighted to support them on my maiden half marathon.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Trinity Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation at no extra cost to you.

So please sponsor me now and help make my birthday "celebrations" extra special!
