Story
In October my sister in law, Jo, and I ( and the babies) are going to be walking/riding 100 Miles over the month for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
As most of you know in July this year, Craig had a bad accident at work and although he was not transported by air ambulance they still attended to help with his treatment.
We all take this amazing service for granted but forget that it is not an emergency service provided by our taxes but a charity that needs to be funded.
Each mission for the air ambulance costs around £3500. From April 2023 to March 2024 DSAA complete 2909 missions, this would have cost over £10 million!
We hope we never have to use this service but when required we want it there quickly and that is why we are doing this challenge.
This challenge is going to be tough and we will be sharing my progress here. We hope to raise as much as we can to help critically ill or injured patients across the region. Just £10 could help towards the cost of trauma bandages, so every penny really does count.
Thank you so much for your support.
