Story
Hi family and friends,
On the 3rd October 2021 I will be running the London Marathon for the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF).
DSWF do amazing wildlife conservation work across Asia and Africa to help fight and put an end animal trafficking, poaching and ivory trading. They work with local communities to protect local wildlife.
Having spent some time in Kaziranga National Park a UNESCO World Heritage site in Assam, India (I was married there - it's beautiful and highly recommend a visit!!) I have seen first hand how important DSWF's work is and how they work with local volunteers to protect the native wildlife. Without it a lot of endangered animals wouldn't stand a chance.
More information on DSWF and the work they do can be found here: https://davidshepherd.org
So I am putting on my running shoes for one final marathon (yes I know I said that last time...) and my training started this week! So any support would be much appreciated and especially motivating on those long runs!
I will be keeping you up to date with my progress and will be planning some fun fundraising events over the next few months - from raffles and auctions to quizzes, virtual games and in person events...oh and a prize for the person who correctly guesses my finish time!! So please stay tuned.
Many thanks and lots of love,
Sarah xx
