I developed a passion for the RNIB working for UHB Ophthalmology Department as a manager for thirteen years.  I, alongside the BSOL CCG and RNIB helped to build a case to have three Eye Clinic Liaison Officers in the departments across four hospital sites.  The ECLO’s play a pivotal role to patients dealing with visual sight loss and this is my way of helping to raise some money for this worthwhile cause.  Every day 250 people are told the life-changing news that theyre losing their sight. We want to ensure no one faces this diagnosis alone, and that people with sight loss can live independently in a world with no barriers in the way of the life they want to lead.Our Sight Loss Advisors can provide emotional and practical support to someone who is coming to terms with their sight loss.
