Story

Two years ago now I lost my Dad to dementia.  Even after two years it doesn't feel real.  He was too young, he should still be with us now.

I will be completing this trek with my friends Christine and Lynsey (we are the original Cricket Gins) and a group of our friends who are keen to take on the challenge with us this year!  I will be walking in memory of my Dad, and thinking about others who are currently affected by this disease.  We will be raising money for the Alzheimer's Society who do brilliant work in supporting those affected by Dementia.

You may be aware that the Cricket Gins trekked this trek last year (we successfully completed it and had fun doing so) but opted for the 13 miles.  So it was really a bit of a warm-up!  This year we are pushing ourselves and aiming for the full 26 miles, which is rather more daunting!

Thank you for any support you are able to give.

Wish us luck! xx
