Story
In January 2018 my husband Tim was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour called a Craniopharyngioma. This completely turned our world upside down and little did we know this was just the beginning of a life changing journey. During surgery to remove the brain tumour, Tim’s Pituitary Gland was damaged. The Pituitary Gland controls the vital hormone production in the body, which now means Tim is on life dependant medication for the rest of his life. More recently he has been diagnosed with osteoporosis which has added further complications. Tim will never feel the same as he did before his surgery but he always remains positive, has a huge smile on his face and continues to put everyone before himself.
I have recently joined a small running group Beginners to Runners, this group has been an inspiration and escape for me I enjoy time at club running with friends, so I have decided to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for the Pituitary Foundation who are a small charity with big support for all patients and families living with a Pituitary condition.
Those who know me know this is not going to be easy but with all your support I am determined to get across the finish line.
